Boiler Repairs

We know that being without your heating or hot water can be a distressing experience so we will endeavor to get your boiler up and running again as soon as possible. All repairs are different, but as a rule, if we are able to fix your boiler on our first visit and without needing any parts we charge $70. If parts are required then we will inform you of the costs involved so that you can make an informed decision before you decide to go ahead. In the unlikely event that we cannot repair your boiler then there is no charge for our labour! Unfortunately we do NOT work on / test gas fires or back boilers Please phone to arrange an appointment. (please have details of your boilers make and model to hand if possible)

Can I fix the problem myself?

There are a couple of things you can try before you arrange for an engineers visit: (1) Is there electical power to the boiler? Is the display on? Are any lights on? If not check the fuse or trip switch for the heating. (2) Is there a fault code showing on the display of the boiler or lights flashing? If so, or you aren't sure, make a note of the display message or lights before you do anything else. (3) Check your gas supply by trying another gas appliance particularly if you have a pre payment meter. (4) Check the pressure on your boiler - if it is at, or close to, zero try topping the pressure up - there are instructions on our Facebook page about how to do this. (5) Try pressing the "reset" button on your boiler if it has one - the symbol for this may be a flame with a line through it, but you may need to refer to the manufacturers instructions. (6) DON'T be tempted to remove the cover from the boiler as this may put you and your family at risk of electric shock or carbon monoxide poisoning.
